SUMMARY

The peculiarities of operating mode of pyroelectric vidicon scanning units (namely of a focusing-deflection system) are considered in the paper. The existence of the differences of rasters formed in pyroelectric vidicon during each of scanning phase by size, orientation and focus is established and proved. The estimation of such raster difference for the number of variants of focus-deflection system design and it influence on the characteristics of thermal imaging camera are considered. The possibilities of raster matching by the modification of focus-deflection system and scanning units are also considered. The operating cycle, which provide correct scanning phase sequence and the technical solution that allow the fully use of read-out raster square are proposed.
